LEONARDAS RAIMUNDAS VAITYS
President and publisher of ARCHIFORMA Magazine (born in 1943, in Kaunas). Architect, Manager of UAB FORMA; member, vice-chairman, Board of the Lithuanian Architects’ Union; chairman, architect G. Baravykas Charity and Support Fund; chairman, architect A. Zaviša Charity and Support Fund.
Work: Architect, senior architect, group manager, author of projects, head of the Section of Architecture, chief architect and deputy director, Municipal Economy Design Institute of Lithuania (1968-1991); manager, UAB FORMA (since 1991).
Creation: Author and coauthor of an architectural part in over 50 projects; winner of premiums at Lithuanian and foreign competitions; arranged two personal exhibitions; participant of group exhibitions. Major design works: building of the Ministry of Social Security in Vilnius; hostel in Vilnius; Vilnius International Airport (together with A. Alekna and G. Telksnys; Lithuanian Savings Bank in Vilnius (together with D. Čižas); administration building in Vilnius (together with R. Palekas); administration building of UAB ALNA in Vilnius (together with S. Mikštas and A. Bakšys); Sports and Fitness Centre OLYMPIC GYM in Vilnius; Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in Minsk (together with S. Mikštas and R. Kučinskas); VEREINS BANK in Vilnius (together with A. Bakšys); Hotel EUROPE CITY in Vilnius (together with R. Kučinskas); new terminal of Shengen countries at Vilnius International Airport (together with R. Kučinskas and M. Liepa).
Educative activities: Published some 70 articles on architecture in Lithuanian and foreign publications; member, Editorial Board of Statyba Ir Architektūra (Construction and Architecture) Magazine (1983–1986); chairman, Lithuanian Architects’ Association (1996–1999); organiser and presenter, Architektūra Ir Laikas (Architecture and Time) LTV Broadcasting (1985–1987); member, Millennium Council of Lithuania (1994–1998); compiled and published monographs on the painter Jonas Vaitys, architect Leonardas Vaitys, architect Gintautas Telksnys; prepared for press the monograph on the architect Saulius Šarkinas.

RIMANTAS BUIVYDAS
Author of the conception of ARCHIFORMA Magazine (born in 1945, in Vilnius). Has been working for the magazine since 1996. Professor, Doctor of Art Criticism; Dean at the Faculty of Architecture and Head at the Department of Fundamentals and Theory of Architecture, Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (VGTU); member, VGTU Senate and Board; member, Lithuanian Architects’ Association; deputy editor-in-chief, Urbanistika Ir Architektūra (Town Planning and Architecture) Scientific Magazine; member, Science Expert Council and Architecture Expert Council, Cultural Values Protection Department.
Work: Senior architect, Vilnius Resort Design Institute (1969–1971); senior lecturer, Vilnius Institute of Art (1971–1985); assoc. professor, Vilnius Institute of Art (1985–1989); prorector of science, Vilnius Institute of Art (1986–1988); assoc. professor, VGTU (1989–2000); professor, VGTU (since 2000). “Thus far, his former students consider him a very superior and exceptional educator having given a great benefit for future professional activity and having made a significant influence on their ethical and aesthetical world-view, respect to architecture tradition and cultural heritage of preceding dates as well as on a deep interest in Vilnius city history and cultural peculiarity whereof”* [free translation].
Research activity: Published 81 articles in Lithuanian and foreign publications; read papers at 29 scientific conferences; wrote and published 3 books: “Architektas Gediminas Baravykas. Kūrybos pulsas” (Architect Gediminas Baravykas. The Pulse of Creation) (2000); “Architektas Algimantas Zaviša. Gyvenimo aidai” (Architect Algimantas Zaviša. The Echoes of Life) (2002); “Ezoterinis simbolių žodynas” (Esoteric Dictionary of Symbols” (1995). Compiled 3 collections of scientific articles; completed a traineeship in Moscow (1975), Helsinki (1982). For the articles, awarded premiums by the Lithuanian Architects’ Union and Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Lithuania. His “theme on the interaction between architecture and art is still the valuable scientific study, whereas the investigated subject-matter was appreciated by the younger colleagues”* [free translation].
Creation: Author and coauthor of an architectural part in 35 projects; winner of 8 premiums at Lithuanian and foreign competitions. A talent for architecture manifested itself especially in the projects of decorative memorials and monuments. Major works: GUBOJA Recreation House of 250 places in Šventoji (1976); 2 residential houses in Molėtai (1978); church in Pociūnai village (unrealised, project 1995); residential block of flats in Vilnius (1997); square and sculpture “Neringa” in Klaipėda (together with the sculptress D. Matulaitė, 1984); monument to the linguist Stanislovas Rapalionis in Šalčininkai region (together with the architect J. Balkevičius and sculptor K. Bogdanas, 1985); square and monument to the educator Kazys Klimavičius in Alytus (with the sculptor L. Pivoriūnas, 1990); monument to the Lithuanian officers killed at Medininkai Border Crossing in 1991 (together with A. Šarauskas, 1993); monument to the authoress Lazdynų Pelėda in Vilnius (together with the sculptress D. Matulaitė and architect J. Balkevičius, 1995); monument to the writer Vladas Raščiauskas in Panevėžys (together with the sculptor V. Bubelevičius, 1997); square and momument “Aušra” in Šiauliai (together with the sculptress D. Matulaitė and architect J. Balkevičius, 2003); monument to the Lithuanian troops killed in action with the Polish Legionaries in 1920 at Berznyki, Poland (together with the sculptress D. Matulaitė and architect J. Balkevičius, 2005).

VAIDA ALMONAITYTĖ-NAVICKIENĖ
Editor in Chief of ARCHIFORMA Magazine (born in 1974, in Kaunas). Has been working for the magazine since 1998. Doctor of Art Criticism; in charge of ARCHIFORMA website, publications on Kaunas region and translations into English.
Education: In 1992, graduated with honours from Kaunas Jonas Jablonskis Secondary School; in 1996, defended the Diploma Paper “Karlas Baulas – studijinio fotoportreto meistras” (Carl Baul – the Master of Studio Photo Portrait) at the Faculty of Art, Vytautas Magnus University, and was awarded the Bachelor’s Degree; in 1998, defended the Diploma Paper “Ikonografiškoji Kauno architektūros fotografija XIX a. pabaigoje – 1940. Dokumentikos ir meninės raiškos problematika” (Iconographical Photography of Kaunas Architecture at the End of the XIX c. – 1940. Problematicity of Documentary and Artistic Expression) at the Faculty of Art, Vytautas Magnus University, and was awarded the Master’s Degree; in 2006, after completing the Doctoral Studies with the direction of Art Criticism at Institute of Art, Vytautas Magnus University, defended the Doctoral Thesis “Kauno miestovaizdžio fotografija 1861–1969” (Kaunas Townscape Photography in 1861–1969).
Work: Vilnius Academy of Arts, Department of Humanities, Headmaster (since 2010); lecturer, doctoral student and assistant, Kaunas Institute of Art, Vytautas Magnus University (1999-2010); translator and interpreter, Company Kauno dujos (1994-1999); publications in the following cultural press: Literatūra Ir Menas (Literature and Art), Nemunas, Santaka Supplement (since 1994) to Kauno Diena (Kaunas Day).
Research field: modern Lithuanian architecture, historiography of Lithuanian photography, history of Kaunas photography, iconography of Lithuanian architecture.
